Lenny Ohrnell (NMRA Advertising)

Born and raised in Chicago, Lenny moved to western Illinois after school and went to work for the local newspaper doing various jobs including setting up advertising. In 1963 he went to work for the CB&Q railroad as an operator and fired for a short time. Later he became Agent for BRE, WFE & FGE subsidiary companies. He finished his railroad career in 1986 while working in the BN system-engineering office.
During 1987 he began working for the U.S. Department of Labor Wage and Hour Division where he held various positions as a Wage Analyst, Regional Administrative Officer, Wage Hour Investigator and Administrative Assistant. Lenny retired from the USDOL at the end of 2006.
Lenny has been involved in model railroading for most of his life and is currently President of the Greater Kansas City Model Railroad Club and the 501 C-3 Kansas City Northern Railroad.
