Cinthia began her interest in trains on
her first date with her now husband, Stephen Priest. It was the
beautiful backdrop of Matfield Green, Kansas, where the first
lessons of diesel spotting began. Cinthia is the editor of
Railroads Illustrated (published by White River Productions),
editor of the Caboose Kibitzer (publication of the Mid-Continent
Region of the National Model Railroad Association), and is
assistant editor of the National Model Railroad Association's
national publication Scale Rails. She also edits all PRRP book
projects and is a skilled Photoshop color corrector. Cinthia spent
3 years at K-State but graduated from University of Kansas with a
Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 1994. Currently she is a Critical Care
Pharmacist at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.
She works in both the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit as well as the
Emergency Room. She lives with her husband of 20 years in Kansas
City, Missouri with son Joel, now 10, and 5, count 'em, 5 FAT cats:
Hobo, Bernie, Pinco, Tohatchi, and Cochitti. Cinthia won the young
author contest in Model Railroader Magazine in 1988 and has written
several books on the Santa Fe.
